The principle of economy is very important in formal writing. This involves use of simple words that are not lengthy. The sentences also should not have more than 18 words. The paragraphs should be short and each express a single idea. In my proposal I will apply this principle in order to be loud and clear to my audience.
Engaging the audience and keeping them focused is another important factor in communication. This can be achieved through emphasis. Use of words such as “my main idea is that” and “this is the point to consider” can keep the audience glued to the communication (Canavor, 2018).
At the end of the communication the audience need to take an action. The response depends on what the person communicating wants. If there is no clear call for action the audience may not respond. Use of words such as “hope to hear from you soon” and “I am eagerly waiting for your response” are vital at the end of the communication that need a reaction.
