I once was a girl, really small,
We used to go to church, I remember it all.
It was the AIC, every Sunday we'd sing,
But one day, we stopped, and it changed everything.
Mama had me, just her and I,
She was alone, no dad to stand by.
One day she was big, her belly grew round,
And after that day, we never went back to church.
I don't really know, I was too young to see,
But I think they were mad, maybe blamed her, not me.
They said she was bad, did something wrong,
But I didn’t know why we didn’t belong.
Now it's been 6 years since we last went,
Imagine all that time, without a church.
Mama’s still strong, but she’s sad inside,
She never went back, no matter how hard she tried.
I want to tell young moms like her,
You don't have to be stuck, don’t let life blur.
If you’re alone, you can still move ahead,
It’s not just widows who can remarry instead.
If your heart feels heavy, don’t be afraid,
Find love again, and be brave, not swayed.
It’s okay to move forward and start anew,
There’s still so much happiness waiting for you.
But if you stay lost, the world will pull you in,
And lead you where God doesn’t win.
We all have bodies that need love and care,
But be careful where you find it, beware.
Don’t hide at home or church, pretending it’s fine,
God wants your heart pure, no secret line.
So young single moms, don’t live in denial,
Get up, move on, find love that’s worthwhile.
Satan can’t win if you choose what’s right,
Don’t let him in, don’t give up the fight.
You deserve love, joy, and all God’s grace,
So dust off the past and find your place.
