This is how the Money you Send Your Brothers, Sisters and Parents Back Home is Spent

I had a friend who was a frequent visitor of the clubs in a certain town. One day we met a young man almost my age who had brothers and sisters who were working, some of them were outside the country. Only that young man and his parents were living at their rural home.

After exchanging greetings with that young man, we continued to where we were going with my friend. But, after a few steps, I asked my him, "How come you seem to know that young man?" He told me, "He buys us beer. But, he loves girls so much. He has brothers and sisters who send him money frequently. The only problem with him is hawezi jisaidia."

I remembered that young man when I observed something similar in a another place. Now, the question is here. If you have brothers, sisters or parents who are not working and you regularly send them money, what do they do with it? I have noted we have so many people who sacrifice their lives by working in hostile conditions and because of family love they send some of their incomes to their brothers, sisters and parents, but, that money is being used in extravagant life.

Imagine, how people hustle in Nairobi, Arab nations and other places. Some denying themselves even basic things, risking their lives and then thinking they are helping their people better their lives, the money they send is consumed by girls, women, beer and gambling. This is unfair and discouraging. Right now people are saying #lowerfoodprices because they cannot afford basic things. But, the little they are sending to help their people is not even used to buy foods.

If you have someone you send money now and then back home, for the sake of your wellness monitor what they are doing with the money you send them. Have a friend who will tell you the truth what is going on. At times we trust our parents and family members too much but they misuse us. Last December we sat in a place with sober men of different ages and we talked of the same subject and one senior citizen said, "The heart of a mother is always on the child who is doing what is wrong. And, it is very rare to find a mother telling you the nasty things that child is doing."

Now, think of a mother who is left in the village with a child who does what is wrong. There is no single day such a mother will ever tell you the money you send is being used in beer and bhang ghettos. Will she even tell you the same money is being sent as fare to girls? Let me not say we have non working brothers, sisters and parents who are living a better life, in terms of what they wear, eat and where they live, than the person who sends them money.

My point is: BEFORE YOU SEND MONEY TO YOUR BROTHERS, SISTERS AND PARENTS BACK HOME KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH IT.
