Is visiting orphans a good thing?
Yes, it is!It is not even a good thing,
But, also a Godly thing.
Is visiting widows a noble course?
Yes, it is!
The holy book encourages it.
And that is why we offer them help in time of need.
But, how many believers think beyond visiting orphans and widows?
We think visiting them will make us see heaven.
We think helping the needy in our communities will earn us a good life.
But, that is a just lie.
When helping the needy in our midst,
God expects us to help them with a pure heart.
And, at the same time keep ourselves pure.
He does not want us to be corrupted by the things in the world.
But, we give to the needy without measure,
And we forget to keep ourselves pure.
We allow dirty things corrupt our hearts.
We allow our jobs to corrupt us.
We allow our friends and relatives corrupt us.
We allow everything to corrupt us.
The final result,
All the efforts we put in helping the needy is watered down.
If we cannot keep ourselves pure,
We should not waste our time helping the needy.
Helping the needy should go hand in hand with keeping ourselves pure.
That is the true Gospel.
