My Smartphone Does not Display the Caller or Receive Messages

If your smartphone is not displaying who is calling you when it is ringing what do you do?

If you are not able to receive messages (especially Mpesa messages) on your smartphone what do you do?

I have met so many people with the above problems at my cyber. They come thinking the smartphone need to be 'flashed'.

But the solution to those two problems is not flashing or restoring the smartphone to factory setting.

This is what one should do:

Tap the setting app on your smartphone as shown below;

Tap the Apps & Notifications shown below;

Tap SEE ALL APPS shown below;

Tap the 3 dots at the right top corner shown below;

Tap Show system shown below;

On the below page scroll down;

When you reach Phone shown below tap it;

Tap Storage & Cache shown below;

Tap CLEAR CACHE shown below;

Once, cache is cleared Tap CLEAR STORAGE shown above and the below pop up will appear;

On the above screen tap OK and all data will be cleared and your screen will be as shown below;

Note: The above process enables a smartphone to display who is calling on the screen.

If you want a smartphone to resume receiving messages, the process is the same but at the point of scrolling you choose and tap Messages as shown below;

Tap Storage & cache shown below;

Tap Clear Cache shown below;

Once cache has cleared tap Clear Storage and the below screen will pop up;

On the above screen tap OK and all data will be cleared.

That is how a smartphone that is not displaying who is calling on the screen or not receiving message is corrected!
