Shakahola a Place of Hope

Shakahola massacre is horrific.

But the victims died with hope.

Hope of a better tomorrow.

They were looking for a God,

Who can change their lives.

Shakahola Massacre is not like;

Lari Massacre of 1953,

Kisumu Massacre of 1969,

Garissa University Massacre of 2015 or,

Rwanda Genocide of 1994.

But, a massacre fueled by life challenges.

Shakahola massacre victims are like men and women at Bethesda Pool,

They were not after power or land.

But, in search of a spiritual being who HEALS.

At Bethesda Pool hundreds of society rejects sleep,

Waiting the angel to come and stir the water.

Like Shakahola Massacre victims they do not have a helping hand.

Their goal is not food but to get into the pool.

Waiting for the angel is the duty.

But, how about those who do not get an opportunity to get into the pool?

They die with hope!
