Re: Never Fail to Eat Money
When money come in parliament eat it. There is money meant to be eaten but some people term it as corruption. A law that come with money in the house should be passed without amending even a comma. It may sound awkward but that is a fact.
In Christianity, we know a character by the name Judas. He is condemned for accepting coins in exchange of Messiah life. But, Judas should be celebrated by the Christianity fraternity for his action. It is his action that made Christianity to move to another level.
Likewise, take the coins that come your way. But, do not follow Judas path. Eat money and pass laws. Some laws that come with money and that seem to be bitter will one day shape the course of this nation for better.
Eating money to pass laws is not a Kenyan thing but a global happening. Even the civilised nations laws are influenced by money. In the case of Judas, even God, the Supreme One, was aware money will be used but He did not stop it. In fact, He even prepared the person who will receive it.
As a person in charge of passing laws, never use your cultural background while deciding what is right. You represent people with diverse backgrounds. Pass laws in favour of each group and that is where money will come from. Never eat money to block laws, but eat it to pass laws.
If the Western nations bring the money in the house, eat it and pass the laws. If the Corporate world bring the money, eat it and pass the laws. If the civil society bring the money, eat it and pass the laws. If the political parties bring the money, eat it and pass the laws. If the government bring the money, eat it and pass the laws. If you fail to eat it, you might block the great plans God has for this nation!
I hope you will meditate on this!
