Business entities employ several factors in addressing their product safety, that include; one, the provision of necessary product safety information to the consumers, though, cost hinders them.
Two, disclosing problems related to product safety to Consumer Product Safety Commission. In some situation companies take a lot of time to present the problem report. This may imply that they take time to navigate the problem searching for ways to evade its cost implication.
Lastly, companies are adopting the idea of shared responsibility, whereby they are accepting to share the cost of problems that arise when consumers are using their products.
Although, companies are doing their part in product safety, the burden is majorly carried by the consumers. Companies on my perspective tries all the best to meet the minimum regulations requirements.

The major issues of concerns are tilted towards the consumer. The cost incurred by entities in meeting safety standards is passed to the consumer through higher product prices (William H. Shaw, 2017).
Some safety legislation's deny the consumers the power of choice and as result infringe on the individual’s freedom rights. The idea of legal paternalism also restricts freedom of individuals.
