InfraGard, is a partnership that brings together Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and private sector players in the critical infrastructure ecosystem with an aim of protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure.
The critical infrastructure includes; grid lines, highways, bridges and tunnels, railways, building and other utility facilities (DHS, 2022). InfraGard facilitates sharing of information, education and emerging security threats.
InfraGard Alliance members meet every month with one goal: networking and sharing security information. Of importance, is that these workshops are sponsored by the members in the private sector (INFRAGARD TALLAHASSEE, n.d.). This shows the commitment the private sector has in supporting the FBI and other security agencies activities in protecting not only the critical infrastructure but also the nation and its citizens.
