The site I have selected for the assignment is HealthPlus website that sells body detoxing products. The site deals with the sale of detox products online, and I believe they would need legal advice, in the recent past, detox have gained prominence as the short-cut for people to lose weight fast. Detox have been advanced based on the fact human bodies contain toxic substances from the pollution, chemicals in processed foods, indulgence, demands for modern life that put human bodies under enormous strain. While the human body has a natural way to flush and eliminate waste, sometime human bodies are not able eliminate all waste. Therefore, detox products are considered as the fastest way to lose weight in an ever busy world.
I believe that HealthPlus website need legal advice to safeguard themselves from suits related to negligent misrepresentation whereby the website may promise that their detox products are efficient in one or many ways. If these assertions are not true and scientifically proved, HealthPlus website may be sued for negligent misrepresentation of inducing customers to purchase the detox products with hopes of achieving weight loss and whatever else is written on the website.
