Rational decision making model

Rational decision making model is based on the available information. This model can lead to better decisions being reached if the available information is analyzed well. But, on the other hand, this model can take a lot of time before the decision is reached. This is because of the availability of huge amount of information. This may deny an organization an opportunity that need faster decision to be made (Shah, 2011).

Bounded rationality decision making model is all about making decisions that are good enough but not optimal. This model is applicable where there are a number of alternatives. This model emerges due to the diversity of ideas and decision makers having no complete information. This occur in situations that are complex. Though, good decisions are made, the best decision may not be reached (BCcampus, n.d.).

Intuitive decision making model utilizes knowledge, training and experiences. This model is used to make decisions in challenging circumstances. For example, in cases of emergency medical treatment. This model helps managers to make impromptu decisions that yield positive outcomes (University of Minnesota, n.d.). But, novices if they use this model they can make the worst decisions.

Creative decision making model takes into consideration all the available perspective in order to solve a problem in a new and better way. This model is not linear like rational model. This model has emerged as the best model of making great decisions. But, it is limited to an individual. If the person making the decision is not able to understand and analyze the options available well worst decisions can be made (Ahmed, 2021).
