Job Application Requirements

This is a checklist of people applying jobs.

When applying for a job what does one need to have?

I run a small cyber café and job seekers do come send applications to various offices.

One thing I have noted is that many of them think job application is just sending a  CV only.

But the fact is unless otherwise stated online application of a job is similar to physical application.

All the documents one carries when seeking job opportunities in offices are the same documents one should send online, either through email or uploading them on company portals.

These documents include;

1. Application letter

2. Curriculum vitae.

3. KCSE certificate

4. Secondary leaving certificate

5. College or university certificate. (if any)

6. Official Transcripts (for diploma and degree holders)

7. Certificate of service or recommendation letter (for people with previous work history)

If one is offered a job opportunity, the following certificates should follow;

1. Police clearance certificate

2. KRA PIN

3. NSSF Number

4. NHIF number

5. Passport photos.

In case one gets a government job the following documents will also be required;

1. Tax compliance certificate

2. HELB clearance certificate

3. CRB clearance certificate.

For international jobs  travel passport, medical certificate and Covid-19 vaccination certificate are mandatory.

Next time do not apply for a job like a person who has not gone to school, provide these certificates.
