PROJECT NAME : ESTABLISHMENT OF A HUSTLER FUEL PUMP
GROUP NAME : KIJABE BODA BODA ASSOCIATION
GROUP VISION : SAVING FOR THE FUTURE
PROPOSED TO : OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY PRESIDENT

GROUP HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
1) Kijabe Boda Boda Association is a combination of all boda boda groups operating in Kijabe Ward, Kiambu County.
2) The association has a membership of 532 members who have been registered in their areas of operation. The group membership includes:
1. Kimende Boda Boda Group
2. Korio Boda Boda Group
3. Githogoiyo Boda Boda Group
4. Bathi Self Help Group
5. Magina Boda Boda Group
6. King’atua Boda Boda Group
3) The membership does meet monthly to contribute for table banking and the rest of the money is deposited with Equity bank.
PROPOSAL OBJECTIVE
1. The objective of the proposal is to raise capital worth Kenya shillings One million (ksh1, 000,000/=) to start a petrol pump at Kambaa and Matathia where members will be fueling their motorbikes.
2. The cardinal objective is self-reliance and reduce travelling to long distances looking for fuel.
PROPOSAL VIABILITY
1) The proposal has been propelled by the Bottom-Up economic model where members who either have their own motor-bikes or employed will have a pool to borrow from.
2) The motor-bikes and members are using ploughing back system will eventually develop a petrol station.
PROJECT ESTIMATED COST

2. Members have also secured a plot to mount the pump.
PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY
1) As a group if funded the profit margin will be used to expand the business. Members will also be using the savings from the table banking to empower themselves.
2) Through the group constitution and rules the group discipline will be highly adhered to shield the project from external and internal interference.
CONCLUSION
We appreciate the role the office of the deputy president plays in empowering the people in the bottom of the pyramid.
The practical economic model of Bottom-Up will assist the downtrodden to own companies and fight poverty.
We therefore request for the above assistance in order for us to be like our models Satima of Nyandarua and Mololine.
