When you install windows on a computer or laptop there are so many files that need to be deleted. Also, when one uses a computer or a laptop for a long time there are junk files that need to be deleted. This is done to ensure a computer or laptop does not hold unwanted files. If these files are not deleted they can make the computer or laptop to be slow, without forgetting they occupy memory space which can be used to store required files.
If you click file manager on your computer you will see the partitions of your computer as shown below.

On the above page the local disk (C) has 226GB that are free. Let us clean and see how many GBs we will be able to recover.
Go to search and search disk cleanup as shown below

On the above page click disk cleanup and you will be directed to the below page.

On the above page click OK and you will be directed to the below page.

While on the above page wait for the computer or laptop to complete calculating the amount of space that will be recovered. You will be directed to the page below when calculating will end.

On the above page click Cleanup system files and you will be directed to the below page. (Note: On the above page you can tick all the boxes on files to delete that starts with setup log files and then click ok to delete junk files. But, you will need to start this process again.)

On the above page click OK and you will be directed to the below page.

On the above page tick all the menu items as shown below and remember to scroll down up to the last item.

On the above page you can note that we will be able to gain 39.6GB that are occupied by unnecessary files. Click OK and you will be directed to the below page.

On the above page click delete files and you will be directed to the below page.

While on the above page wait for the computer or the laptop to complete cleaning the drive. Once complete go to file explorer and check the Local disk (C) free space and you will note the space has increase. In this case from 226GB to 256GB as shown below.
