Dedication
To the ones who dare to see, to the ones who dare to speak, to the ones who dare to stand alone.
This book is for every soul tired of clapping for liars, for every heart that has been wounded by blind loyalty, for every voice silenced by fear.
May these pages give you courage. May they open your eyes. May they set you free.
Author Note
This book, The Old Prophet, was born out of fire. It was not written to entertain you, nor to soothe you. It was written to provoke, to disturb, and to awaken. When I first read the story in 1 Kings 13 about the old prophet of Bethel, it burned in me like a warning siren. A young man of God lost his life, not because he was weak, but because he listened to an old prophet. That story is not just history. It is prophecy for today.
The “old prophet” is not locked in the Bible. He is alive in our time. He wears suits and robes. He preaches from pulpits, campaigns for votes, runs companies, leads families, and hides in traditions. He was once good, but he has turned corrupt. And yet, people still follow him — blindly, loyally, and tragically.
This book is my cry against that blindness. It is my attempt to strip away the masks and expose the danger of following a man’s voice instead of truth. It is a call to courage — to open your eyes, to question, to stand alone if necessary, and to stop clapping for lies.
If these pages make you uncomfortable, good. If they make you angry, even better. Because comfort is the enemy of change, and anger is often the doorway to awakening. My hope is that by the end of this book, you will no longer see the old prophet as a distant character, but as a real danger in your world — and maybe even in yourself.
I pray you finish these pages with eyes wide open, a heart burning for truth, and the courage to walk away from every voice that contradicts truth. The old prophet has lived long enough. It is time to expose him.
