Think of a person who left college or university in 2018 and has never secured a meaningful job. Such a person is very likely that he or she does not service his or her HELB loan and thus he or she is listed with CRB. Also, the frustrations that young people go through forms a don’t care attitude in them and most do not file their KRA returns even if its nil. The same person may be having a negative police clearance certificate, by this I mean the person may be having cases that are shown on their police clearance or good conduct certificate. Then, by lack the person applies for a job, gets shortlisted and called for an interview and he or she is required to present certificates from HELB, KRA, DCI and the like. What would that person do? The shortcut is to forge these required documents.
People know how to cook certificates. Allow me to show you how it is done. I will take an example of a good conduct or police clearance certificate. We all know it is pulled via Ecitizen. So let us get an Id number we can use to login to Ecitizen. (I have taught on this blog severally that you should never use your id number or mobile number as your password.) I have chosen to use one of the id number of people who were invited for an interview at Nakuru county of late as shown below. (The list is from county government of Nakuru website)
Once, the document is downloaded, open it. You can now edit it to what you want as shown below (I have changed the name to MOSES KARIUKI NJUGUNA, id number to 35421014, Date to 17 July 2021 and Ref No. I have interchanged the letters as shown below. Then save the document as pdf and you are done. You can print it and take it where it is required.
Warning: It is unethical to forge documents. It is also against the law. In many occasions the law can fail to detect forged documents but there is a God who sees and curses people who use forged documents. You can read my article on forged documents here.
