I agree with you that we are divided as a nation, now, what should we do so that we can become one as per the aspirations of the founding fathers of our nation?
Remember our nation is not founded on ethnicity or ancestral ties like other nations because as Americans we came from different origin.
We are made up of people who trace their origin from diverse lands. Instead of showing patriotism when there is political division to portray our opponents as a people who do not value American ideals, can we do it keeping our parties and individualism aside?
This takes me back to the first president of our nation, George Washington, the ideals he believed in relating to our nation made him to bring his opponents to his administration with one purpose of uniting all Americans and cultivating patriotism.
He left a legacy that we can work together for the benefit of our nation despite our political stand.
