Since humanistic perspective considers self-actualization as a goal, does it mean if one is unable to actualize himself or herself the result will be mental disorder?
There is a craving in human beings that attracts them to people who are on the limelight like politicians, news anchor, musicians and the like, and we tend to think these people have actualized themselves.
This makes some people to develop an attitude that they are not fulfilled in life. But we cannot all be these people. We are unique.
