On the issue of differing perspective depending on whether one is in North or South I think as a nation we have issues that were not solved even after succeeding nation re-joining the union.
The politicians seem to be ignoring issues like racial legacy, income disparity and fracturing media landscape that are ailing the nation (Bremmer, 2021).
If this issues are addressed the nation may change the risky path its treading on.
