How to Apply for CR12 on Ecitizen Online in Kenya?

A CR12 is an official confirmation by the Registrar of Companies in Kenya as to whom the directors/shareholders of a company are.
It also confirms that the company's records exist at the Company registry.
CR12 highlights the following;
1. The list of shareholders, Postal Addresses and respective shareholding;
2. The list of Directors and their postal addresses
3. The Registered office of the Company
4. Company name and registration number.
5. Charges or encumbrances registered against the company
When to apply for a CR 12 in Kenya;
1. Upon Company registration in Kenya (Once one registers a company he or she is given company registration certificate and CR12)
2. After making any changes in the shareholding of your company
3. After making changes in the directorship of your company
4. After increasing/decreasing share capital of your company
Once you the enter the company name and click search it will appear as shown below. Choose the name you want to get CR12 and click next.
On the below page click Mpesa (in this case we will page using Mpesa). We want to pay ksh650/=.
Click complete on the below page once you have paid.
Below is the CR12 you will get on your download folder.

5. When one wants to know who owns a given company.
This is the process of applying CR12 on Ecitizen;
Go to Ecitizen as shown below and login using your id number or email and your password;
Once you login, go to business registration service shown below and click it.
On the below screen click Continue.
On the below screen click Make Application.
On the below webpage click Apply Now on official search ("12").
On the below page click Apply Now.
On the below page enter the company name or company registration number on the shown area and click search.
On the below page, enter your postal address, postal code, email and mobile number and click Save and Continue.
Note: The company must be verified in order to get the CR12.
On the below page, tick the box shown below to confirm you have provided the required in formation and then click finish.
Enter the number you want to pay with on the below page and click Pay.
Note: You will see an MTK PUSH message on your phone requiring you to enter your Mpesa password and to pay ksh650/= Enter your Mpesa password.
The system will confirm whether you have paid as shown below;
Once you payment is confirmed your are redirected to the below page. Go at the bottom of page where we have Download as shown and click it.
