Splitting Your Computer Screen
Sometimes it’s helpful to be able to split your computer screen between two windows.
To view both windows at the same time, you can use a process called snapping.
A window is a defined area of your screen that displays information for a particular application.
How to use the Snap feature in Windows 10
Use your mouse or touch pad to drag one of your windows (such as a Word document) to the left edge of your screen until you see the Snap Assist outline appear. This outline shows where the document will be placed. Release the document and it will snap into place on the left.
The remaining windows you have opened on your screen will appear on the right. Click on the one you want to fill the right side of your screen, and it will snap into place on the right, allowing you to view both windows at the same time.
To exit split-screen mode, double-click on the title bar at the top of either of the two windows. This will unsnap the window and return it to its previous size.
