Dear Sister

A married man may come to say,
"My marriage is hard; it's not okay."
He may share problems, tears, or strife,
But let him work it out with his wife.

Tell him kindly, "See a marriage therapist near;
The answers aren’t with me, my dear."
Even if he says, "I wish you were mine,"
Remind him he chose his wife first, in time.

You are not the cure he seeks,
Not in your heart, not between your legs, nor your cheeks.
Be strong, be wise, and make it clear,
His marriage is not your cross to bear.

You are not the remedy, not the key.
You’re not his therapist; let it be.
