Town Life

We came to town,
But with different minds,
And from diverse background,
But we arrived safely.

Some of us arrived in town like Jacob,
Do you know Jacob?
He was brother of Esau.
Jacob had nothing when he arrived at Laban's home.

Others arrived like prodigal son,
Do you know him?
The young man who asked his father his inheritance,
He came to town with wealth.

Before you think others are ahead of you,
Think how you came,
Whether like Jacob or prodigal son.
No one should give you pressure.

But remember one day we shall leave town,
And before we leave it some must eat with pigs,
Not because town is not kind to them,
But wasteful living will give them pods.

How shall you be that day?
Like Jacob or the prodigal son.
Some will be rich,
Others will beg for mercy.

That day how we came will not count,
But how we will return will speak for us.
It will be an old age of peace or pain,
How shall it be to you?
