If we do not have a close relationship with Raila or Ruto we need to work on our own. BBI will come to us and since we need the money it is promising to trickle to our villages we will pass it by simple majority. As Ruto say, “No one is against the BBI.” But if it goes through the biggest beneficiaries with be Raila and Ruto. One, will form the government with his friends and the other will have a leader of opposition office funded by taxpayer’s money with his friends for checks and balances of what the government is doing. Which office will you be in?
Since, you and I will not be in any office, we should embrace to learn how to live together as good friends. If I am doing manual jobs at my small village of Gitithia today, I need to think how I will upgrade myself. There is no single leader who will come home to home to change lives. It is our personal responsibility to hustle our own way up.
Today, people may say Uhuru has done nothing to their benefit, but, we have people who have changed their lives themselves during his tenure in office. Uhuru was not meant to create jobs and no leader ever creates jobs. His work is to ensure stability so that you and me can work peacefully. It is your and my duty to create an opportunity for yourself and myself. We cannot deny wheelbarrow movement do work. But, it works for the people ready to liberate themselves. It is not for people who think Ruto or Raila will make it work.
