Mass collection of citizen’s data

These agencies (NSA, DHS, FBI) should conduct unwarranted searches and surveillance on Americans or people living in America who are potential terrorists.

But, now the problem is they do it to the entire population. Does it mean they cannot pinpoint potential terrorists?

Collecting mass data is not healthy at all. This information can leak and be used by the American corporations to exploit the citizens.

For example, insurance companies on accessing health information of a given population in a specific state can use it to overcharge their subscribers.

Also, employers can use this data to discriminate citizens. As far as domestic espionage is concerned mass collection of citizen’s data should not be allowed at all.
